United Way hosts workshops for 2007-2008 funding
Haywood County
non-profit agencies interested in applying for United Way funding are required
to attend one of these workshops
Are you a 501© (3) nonprofit organization and
interested in applying for United Way funding for the fiscal year 2007-08? If so, you are required to attend one
of five budget application training sessions in order to be eligible for
funding.
The training sessions have been scheduled
according to impact areas. This
will enable the trainers to share more specific information and provide
in-depth training tailored to each type of program. Please make sure the agency representative at the training
is the person(s) responsible for completing the application. Budget applications will be
available only at these training sessions and can be obtained only by attending
the entire workshop.
“We are always looking for ways to do things more efficiently
and effectively,” said Barry Matthews, president/CEO for United Way of West
Tennessee. “By bringing the same
types of programs together for the training, we will be able to get very
specific with them and help them understand what our community investment
volunteers are expecting. Our
volunteers are very thorough about how they invest local resources, and this
will make the process smoother.”
