SHARE Network available in Haywood County
An
exciting new program is coming to our area! The Tennessee Department of Labor
& Workforce Development is proud to announce Sharing How Access to
Resources Empowers (SHARE) Network, a program that will help expand access to
workforce development services. Through the SHARE Network, job seekers and
their families will discover a wide range of excellent support services offered
by faith and community-based organizations, government agencies and non-profit
organizations.
Tennessee is one of nine states partnering
with the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) to bring this program to Tennesseans.
Since the faith-based and community initiatives began in 2001, the USDOL has
developed programs to help One-Stop career centers partner with faith-based and
community organizations (FBCOs) to help Americans in
need.
SHARE
Network Tennessee
is designed to improve the effectiveness of the job search system by building
bridges between faith-based and community organizations. The program consists
of two distinct parts: an online resource directory and access points. The
online directory will consist of various service providers, including workforce
development system partners, faith-based organizations, businesses and
government agencies. The access points located at faith-based or
community-based organization locations will provide core services ad referrals
to clients.
Stanton Health
Center, 731-548-2232, and TN Career
Center – Brownsville, 731-772-3490, are Haywood County agencies who will offer services
through this program. For service organizations interested in becoming a SHARE
Network member or for more information please visit our website at www.tnsharenetwork.com.
