“Rupture” author to sign books February 15

 

A native of Haywood County, A. Scott Pearson will sign copies of his debut novel “Rupture” Sunday, February 15, 2-4 p.m., at the College Hill Center, Brownsville, Tenn.

 

Pearson, son of Norma and Wilder Pearson, grew up in the Forked Deer community of Haywood County and attended high school in Brownsville.  After finishing medical school in Memphis, he lived in Texas for eight years during surgical training before moving to Nashville and Vanderbilt Medical Center with his family in 1999.

 

Rupture is the first book in a series of thrillers set in Memphis featuring surgeon Eli Branch.  After joining Gates Memorial Hospital, Eli discovers that the suspicious death of a patient is linked to his family's dark past.

 

Books will be available at the signing and at Books-a-Million in Jackson, Tenn.
